On the morning of Tuesday, 16 took place at the headquarters of the Paulista Association of Ceramic Coating (ASPACER) the opening of the 6th Congress of the Ceramic Coating Industry. Divided into two auditoriums, gifts listened to lectures relating to ways of management, and the scenery that makes up the current Economic Market.
Despite the downturn scenario, the president of Anamaco, Claudio Elias Conz, present at the conference, stressed the importance of the ceramic industry, giving it the function of promoting the market. From market data, Conz said the industry shows go against the general negative trend, “we can take up space because the ceramic create consumer demand”.
As President, we must improve, however, ways to offer the product, as well as distribution logistics. “Another important factor, responsible for the company’s success is the training of the team,” he said.
The lectures
Under the theme relating to gas and electricity tariffs, the director of Thymos Energy, Ricardo Savoia, talked about the reasons and consequences of such interventions. “Every four years, as well as what happens every year, is the tariff review, but last year was postponed as adaptation measure,” said Savoia, indicating one of the ways adopted to propose economic balance.
Interactively with gifts, he stressed on the Free Market hiring of advantages in comparison with the regular. For him, you can purchase power at cheaper cost, plus there is reduction of sector charges costs and no tariff flag.
Following the proposed themes, Severo Martinez of Profitable ideas – Market Intelligence, spoke about the evolution of the ceramic market, with panorama and coating market trend. Among the highlights, Martinez presented data of exports and imports, in addition to regions that produce in the country. “São Paulo is responsible for 72% of what is produced in Brazil,” he said.
Due to the global crisis (2008) that struck the most diverse branches of the market, the coating segment was also hit by the downturn in the economy. “There was a lot of production, was sold less and stockpiled a lot,” said Martinez.
Reviewing the changes that have occurred since the crisis, Rogério Camilo Rodrigues and Luiz Rabi, the Serasa Experian, exposed elements on the macroeconomic and sector in recent years and what is expected for 2016.
“In 2009, the economy was promising and fast-growing, even in difficult times, but after the measures favorable to consumption, there were problems that made it retract,” Rabi said noting that the coating sector was not affected significantly as other sectors.
Throughout the week, there will be lectures and discussions on topics related to the potter sector. Follow the full report in the next issue of the magazine Aspacer.
