After the government prove reduction of expressions of truckers blocking federal highways, President Rousseff will sanction on Monday (2) the Law of truckers. Information is the Presidency of the General Secretariat.
The sanction of the law is part of the proposals submitted by the government on February 26, during a meeting to end the protests. At the time, the government has promised to sign the bill without vetoes, and extend for 12 months the payment of trucks through Procaminhoneiro Program.
In a statement issued on Sunday (1), the Secretary General cites the “decline of the movement” and reiterates the commitment to the announced proposals. The note says that the demonstrations are located in the southern region of the country, with locks focused on federal highways in Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná and Santa Catarina.
The demonstrations began two weeks ago and the category asks reduction in fuel prices and increased freight costs.
